Good news: We are officially at the half way mark of 2020!

Bad news: Alot of retail spaces are struggling or have completely shut down during this time

Better news: We've found successful ways to help monetize empty retail spaces

Creativity is the spark of economic growth & we have lots of it.
Feel free to use what we've experienced to help save the retail experience

POP UP STORES: (our speciality)

Kylie Jenner and many other celebrities have set up their pop-up stores and have paid a decent amount in rent for occupying the retail space. When you offer short term renting such as in the case of pop-up stores, space will remain occupied and would generate foot traffic and extreme buzz about your area, which could lead to long-term prospects of pop-up stores regularly locating to your empty retail space.

You'll want to list your space on the following websites:
Splacer, Peerspace, Avenuu, Storefront, Airbnb , Speakeasy, EventUp & Whataspace

SUBDIVING THE EMPTY RETAIL SPACE:

A very large retail space can be subdivided into smaller spaces to interest small-business owners. A mini-mall with places for several interior retail stores could be an attractive and less expensive alternative for entrepreneurs. Convert the large space into an incubator for start-up businesses and hire an employee to help new businesses find funding and technical assistance. Apply for rezoning, if appropriate, to attract different types of businesses.

FACELIFT: (our speciality)

If your building is looking dilapidated you'll need to give it a makeover. Pantone trending paint concepts can attract new tenants and stand out more to the surrounding community. Whether you're a retail location, office, or medical space, there are ways you can utilize unique paint concepts or modern patters as murals on building for an inexpensive exterior facelift.

CONSIDER LESS CONVENTIAL TENANTS:

Retail is changing, and many investors have found success by turning the local mall into a leisure or experience-oriented destination. Giving people a reason to come to a shopping center other than mere browsing – which they can do online – is one way to attract significant foot traffic.

Climbing walls, indoor golf, escape rooms, and virtual reality rooms are just some of the businesses popping up in malls around the country.

OFFSITE SIGNAGE:

Signage agreements allow business owners to place signs on your property for a fee. If your property is located in a prime area with significant traffic, this could be an ideal opportunity to reap profits.
