PRETTY GIRLS LOVE STREET ART

I don't know one person who's succeeded in putting up their own "public art" at LACMA.

except for yours truly 💘

I've been gifting Los Angeles with my #wordonthestreet lyrical sculptures for a cool minute but i had an itch to do something harder ,better, faster, stronger. while I was driving down Wilshire and thought to myself, "What is one of the most beautiful & iconic places in LA" and literally, like a sign from God, I passed right by the "Urban Light" sculpture and my mind lit up just like a Streetlamp itself. I had to call Hadi, the only one with the talent and tenacity to help me make my vision come true.

"You're crazy, weren't you scared of getting arrested?"

Well technically, I'm not defacing any property. thats the beauty of what i do. it stays up for the public by choice because it adds major aesthetic. not because its permanent paint.

THE INSPO: This particular #wordonthestreet lyrical sculpture is based off a N.E.R.D/Pharrell Williams lyric, "Warhol The World." I was about 12 when I heard it, salivating watching P perform and wondering how on earth I could get next to this genius of a human. fast forward a couple years later and here iam creating a whole new genre of street style. enter the series: pretty girls love street art. environmental design paired with creative music video direction makes way for a cinematic feast for the eyes..

this lyric means to have obsessive customization disorder (OCD), &to add your artistic fingerprint to everything you touch and

that's exactly what I plan on doing.

Warhol was/is a contemporary pop artist and it fits perfectly well with the LACMA's light sculpture.

I CAME. I SAW. I CONQUERED.
