This living neon rainforest installation idea came from my frustration actually lol. My previous installation fell through and I was mad, I needed to create something. I called Calen Blake and remembered his offer of his beautiful gallery on Museuem Row. That was the answer. 

 

Calen Blake is a plant artist and I'm the experience artist, and together we set out to build our own neon rainforest, while inviting like minded neon + light artists and plant based brands to participate. 

The meaning behind Photosympathize was to remind people the magic and importance of our rainforest, especially the crisis of deforestation. Rainforests are also my favorite environment and the only place I enjoy traveling to. We transformed a 1700 sqft gallery on Museum Row in DTLA into a very humid neon rainforest with 300 living tropical trees and plants, curated neon art, wine bar, and a dj that provided sensual sounds.

Thank you to all the plant lovers that came out and shared our piece of paradise. A portion of the proceeds have been donated to Rainforest Alliance so we can all keep enjoying heaven on Earth.
